Every baby arrives with their own quiet magic — tiny toes, soft skin, and the sweetest little details that change far too quickly. One moment they’re curled in your arms, and before you know it, they’re racing through childhood with a confidence that feels both joyful and bittersweet.
Creating bespoke baby feet casts is a beautiful way to honour these early days. It preserves a moment in time with incredible detail, giving you a keepsake that feels grounding, emotional, and deeply personal.
Many parents are curious about what the process involves, so here are the questions we’re asked most often.

🌿 1. What happens during a baby casting session?
The session is calm, gentle, and surprisingly quick. Most appointments take around 40-60 minutes, depending on how many casts you choose.
Your baby’s foot (or hand) is placed into a soft, skin‑safe moulding material made from non‑toxic, seaweed‑based alginate. It’s completely safe for even the most delicate newborn skin and sets quickly, capturing every tiny crease and curve.
Babies can wriggle, feed, or snooze — the process is flexible and designed around them.
🌿 2. How long does the mould take to set?
Just a few minutes.
This is ideal for little ones who don’t enjoy staying still for long. The alginate sets quickly, creating a beautifully detailed impression before your baby even realises anything is happening.
Bringing a small toy or snack can help keep them distracted, but most babies manage perfectly well without.
🌿 3. What should my baby wear to the session?
Because the moulding material is slightly messy, it’s best to dress your baby in:
loose, comfortable clothing
sleeves or legs that roll up easily
outfits that aren’t precious or delicate
You can bring a spare outfit if you prefer, but most parents find it isn’t necessary.
🌿 4. When will the finished baby casts be ready?
This depends on the material you choose, as each one has its own crafting timeline.
Bronze: 20–25 working weeks
Metal plating: add 2–3 weeks
Glass or plaster: 8–12 weeks
Engraving: add 2–3 weeks
Each cast is created by hand with meticulous care, ensuring the final piece feels timeless, weighty, and beautifully finished.

🌿 A Keepsake to Treasure for a Lifetime
Babyhood passes in the blink of an eye, but a cast allows you to hold onto the details that matter — the softness of their toes, the shape of their tiny foot, the feeling of this fleeting chapter.
Whether you choose bronze, plaster, or glass, your cast becomes a piece of art that tells the story of your baby’s earliest days.
