Pet Statues To Inspire You To Get Your Own Tribute

Of all the polished bronze statues in the world, few are more attractive and produce a feeling of love and admiration than those of beautiful animals. Whether cats, dogs, or any other creature, they can be truly inspirational.

If you want one for your own beloved pet, you may be inspired by some of the best examples to be seen all over the UK. These are usually of creatures immortalised in bronze after passing away and you may wish to do likewise, but there is no reason for you not to have a bronze cast made in their lifetime.

A good example of a living dog given a bronze tribute is that of ‘Max the Miracle Dog’, whose statue stands in Hope Park in Keswick.

Visitors to the popular Lake District town can enjoy seeing and even patting the bronze of spaniel Max, a therapy dog whose daily walks were broadcast during Covid lockdowns to help him act as a virtual therapy dog. People tuned in to see his walks from as far away as Australia.

Max’s cast was unveiled four years ago, and will now be remembered for generations to come.

Another creature with a public profile - albeit not an online one - was Hendrix, a cat known to wander around on Saltburn pier in Cleveland. The cat was a well-known ‘personality’ who often found his way into local cafes and arcades.

The BBC recently reported on how Hendrix had a bronze statue made of him following his death, with the life-size figure now standing on the prom as a reminder to people in Saltburn of the local fluffy celebrity in their midst.

Max and Hendrix are just two of many beloved creatures who have put a smile on many a face. Whether your pet is still very much here or has passed on, a cast can offer a similar chance to cherish some very happy memories of a great furry friend.
